Feedspot.com recently selected Barbara Goodsitt Studio's art blog as one of the top 25 colored pencil blogs on the web. Barbara's art is currently included in an exhibition at the US Embassy in Podgorica, Montenegro through the Art in Embassies Program. She is a member of the Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA), the Michigan Chapter of CPSA, and the Detroit Artists Market. She is an active member and past president of the Ann Arbor Women Artists.
Barbara graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a bachelors degree in fine art. She began her art career working in scientific illustration for hospitals and universities including Mass General Hospital, Boston and the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She is a published illustrator who has illustrated over 20 books for the University of Michigan Press. Her art has been featured in Ann Kullberg's colored pencil publications as well as on the Icarus Art Drawing Board and UART Pastel Paper websites. Barbara teaches Drawing in Color for Washtenaw Community College's Community Enrichment Division, and teaches workshops in southeast Michigan.
